Our story began with a simple idea: to bring networking together with dining.

In the bustling city, Esmeralda and Chris, a couple with two children, are about to embark on a new chapter of their lives: opening their own restaurant, The Cage. Specializing in bold Latin American cuisine, the restaurant isn’t just a business—it’s a symbol of their shared journey.

Esmeralda, once feeling trapped by societal norms that often limited her as a woman, always dreamed of breaking free and creating something meaningful. Chris, on the other hand, grew up in Brooklyn during the early 90’s, where the streets seemed to offer more cages than opportunities for young men. Despite their different paths, they both shared a common drive to defy the odds.

Their vision for The Cage was born out of these experiences. They wanted a space where people could come together, not only to enjoy vibrant flavors but also to network and connect. The restaurant represents their triumph over the barriers they faced—a place where the cages of society and circumstance no longer hold power.

Now, with their two children by their side, they are ready to open the doors to The Cage, inviting everyone to break free and enjoy the food that tells their story.
